My Compressor Fix thanks to the help of usenet
nz.tech and alt.sculpture
My air-compressor had stopped stopping. It keeped on pumping air until the emergency
(8bar) release valve went off (yeah, I'm alive and happy to know that it works and doesn't blow up.).
I opened up the on off/presure switch thingy to see what was up. After making sure it was unpluged as the result of playing there could be shocking.
The bit i'm on about.
What it looks like topless.
The nut in the center is the high pressure cut-out switch. To adjust the cut-out presure, I filled the compressor to the level I wanted it to cut out at. Then I turned off the power to avoid a shock and death. I turned the nut anti-clockwise until I head the relays click to cut the power.

I turned this anti-clockwise to
reduce the cut-out pressure.
And it's done. Working better than even now as I don;t have the compressor working hard out to make 8bar as I'm only working with 2 bar tools.
I have also descovered that my compressor has an overload swtich. It's under the edge of the plastic cover at the opersite end to the presure switch. If you compressor stops for no reason then chech to see this little switch has not reset it's self.
