Please note:
The computers described below may be of little to no value. I really don't care.

So, you're curious about my geek toys....
The real question is... "Why?" Anyway... my primary computer is a Duron 800 running at 1GHz. Works nicely, for all you anti-overclockers. (And for those of you that said overclocking was causing my hard drive read/write errors... I've since found out that the cause of those read/write errors is the awful, awful VIA 686A chipset. I told you, but no, what would I possibly know? So, you guys can all bite me.) |
I've got a few older computers lying around - a Commodore C=64C, with 1541 (or is it a 1541C?) floppy disk drive, and a colour monitor of some sort or other. There are also a couple of ZX Spectrum 48K machines (one doesn't work), and a Spectrum 128K (which can function as a 48K machine, too). The main issue with that last machine is that I hit the reset button on the side one day, and it refused to power up correctly. One day, I'm going to have to see about getting a tech manual for it, to see if I can repair it... |
I have a bunch of PCs lying around the floor here. None of them actually do anything, except for my P-133 Debian box, which supplies XSane access to my scanner, which has a SCSI 1 card that's too slow to run reliably in anything faster than 166 MHz. So I scan over the network. Yay Linux! |
