| Dear Member,
You have a new committee, Blue as Chairperson, Roz as
Secretary, Maureen as Treasurer and Co-ordinator, Alice and John as market
day co-ordinator and Merlyn, Del, Kay, Herb, Marise, Lois, George, Norma,
Geof and Sheryl as committee members. So watch for some exciting new
ideas. I have just become qualified as a Real Estate Marketing Consultant
and will be taking over from David in the Harcourts Thames office (my
latest newsletter enclosed, with a free offer and a $50 voucher draw, this
can be in G$), I want to help people into their own homes and enhance
their quality of life, the same as I believe G$ does, so I will not have
as much time for G$ as I have had but your new committee will be giving
you lots of opportunity for enhancing trade. Some of the ideas from the
AGM included looking at identifying G$ members at our regular markets, ie
tee shirts. A shared table being available and a person taking charge of
as stall for a member for remuneration. Suggestions of having
demonstration stalls and to entice you to read your newsletter a spot the
mistake competition so watch this space next month for these new ideas. We
need a new printer, hence your account is handwritten to the right, the
details are on the computer just not been able to be printed. There is
some important information below, I thing it covers for me what G$ is
about, please read and as always, happy trading Maureen

G$ Philosophy. Think of G$ points as ‘favours’ rather than ‘money’. This will help build a community minded spirit within the group and place a freindlier tone on each trade. Your Offerings. Only offer three kinds of goods and services.
Trading. There’s 3 things to keep in mind when it comes to trading too. Meet as many members as possible, as soon as possible. You’ll find members more willing to do favours for people they know, rather than for strangers, and the best way to meet group members is by attending the monthly G$ events.
